On a beautiful sunny Remembrance day morning. | |
Members of Preston Mark No 143 and Progress Mark | |
No898. Marched in procession with about 500 Service | |
Personal & Ex service Personal, to Preston Cenotaph. | |
To the music of the Lancastrian Brigade Band & Corps | |
of Drums watched by a crowd of over 2000 people | |
A service of remembrance was conducted by the Vicar | |
of Preston. A wreath was then laid by Bro. Gowan | |
O’Hagan W.M. of Progress Mark. As Bro. Eddie Adams | |
W. M. of Preston Mark. Was Standard Bearer for his |

Branch of the British Legion. The assembled | |
procession then marched to Preston City Hall where | |
the salute was taken by the Mayor of Preston. Then | |
those who wished to participate were invited to the | |
Guild Hall for Hot Pot and Coffee | |
